The present paper describes a recent record on passive dispersal of the Brown garden snail Cornu aspersum (O.F. Müller 1774) by a car. This land snail is native to coastal areas around the Mediterranean Sea, but the species is introduced in North-western Europe (including the British Islands), North and South America, Asia Minor, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and several Pacific and Caribbean islands. In many parts of the world this land snail is a troublesome invader. The implications of its dispersal by cars for range expansion and pest control are discussed.
