A find of Eobania vermiculata in Purmerend
Spirula , Volume 378 p. 5- 6
During a brief visit to a park in Purmerend, North-Holland, the Netherlands, two empty fresh shells of Eobania vermiculata (Müller 1774), Fam. Helicidae, were found in a plot of Lilies. This is the second time that this Mediterranean species has been found in the Netherlands. In 2005 it had been encountered already in Leiden. In the wake of these finds some records of this interesting species in Western Europe have been listed.
