As Helix pomatia Linnaeus, 1758 is on the Red list of species in the Netherlands, any finding of a specimen might be of interest. An isolated finding of a specimen of this species in the town of Eindhoven is reported upon. Although this species has never been reported from Eindhoven, in the beginning of this century there was a population of at least 200 individuals. Although no specimens were encountered during a recent visit, this population may still be in existence.
