Between 28 September 2010 and 15 July 2011 nineteen juvenile and adult specimens of the slug Testacella haliotidea were encountered in the backyard of the author in Nieuw en Sint-Joosland (municipality of Middelburg, province of Zeeland, the Netherlands). This is considered proof of the first established and reproducing population of this slug in the Netherlands.
