European red list for land- and fresh water mollusks determined

In November 2011 the European Commission published a red list of European flora and fauna. It shows that fresh water molluscs is the most threatened species group in Europe (44% of species threatened). Nearly half of the European land mollusc species were evaluated, of which 20% is considered to be threatened.
