A GWZG/NMV/WTKG excursion to the new Maasvalkte-2 beach, 23 June 2012

In this article the results of a fieldtrip on the 2e Maasvlakte are given. Now this place is officially open for the public it was a good opportunity to look around on this new Dutch-beach. Unfortunately there was a hard wind from the wrong corner so there was not very much recent material to be found. But instead there was enough fossil material from the Eemien and also a freshwater species from the Holsteinien. In total 33 fossil and 10 recent mollusk species have been found. This fieldtrip was organized by the NMV and WTKG
