Three species of bivalves, Kellia suborbicularis, Heteranomia squamula and Striarca lactea are recorded from seadykes iu the outer reaches of an estuary and an embayment in the southwest of The Netherlands. It is argued that the inner reaches do not provide a suitable habitat for these species.
