A survey concerning the amphibious and freshwater molluscs present in the area of the inundation sluice in the Zuiddijk, S.E.-Beemster, belonging to the ‘Defence Line of Amsterdam’

A partial survey of the area belonging to the inundation sluice in S.E.-Beemster has revealed so far the presence of three amphibious land snails belonging to the Succineidae, 13 freshwater snails including one amphibious species: Galba truncatula, and two freshwater mussels. A solution has to be found how to continue and to carry out a better survey of the large pond forming part of the complex.
