The authors collected 21 litter samples and made field observations on the 8th of October 2015 on the Wadden island of Rottumerplaat, in the northernmost part of the Netherlands. On this small island with saltmarshes and a 3 km long, very narrow dune we found 18 species alive. The research is a continuation of an inventory held in September 2006 (Van Leeuwen & Kuijper, 2007). Remarkable was the strong expansion of the population of the Narrow-mouthed whorlsnail Vertigo angustior. In 2015 this species was found alive in a much larger area (>10.000 m2) than in 2006 (15 m2).
