In October 2015 a mollusc inventory was made on several locations in the eastern part of Ameland, one of the Dutch Wadden Islands (province of Friesland). Though the main focus of this visit was on the invertebrate biodiversity in the salt marsh and dunes, the presence of several malacologists made the attention shift towards identifying molluscs, especially in brackish and freshwater pools. In total 19 terrestrial, freshwater and brackish mollusc species were found. On the beach 38 marine species were identified.
