Nog een oogafwijking bij Lobatus gigas

Soon after the first report on a specimen of Lobatus gigas (Linnaeus, 1758) with an aberrant eye, another specimen from another locality was reported in the literature. Although there are minor differences in the aberration of the eye, the aberration looks very similar and may have had the same cause, although the causes for this aberration are still unresolved. Aberrant eyes in Lobatus gigas are not as rare as suspected before.
