Mass stranding at Hook of Holland, July 26th 2015

After a heavy summer storm on July 25th Gab and Ingrid Mulder found the day after, large numbers of mainly live specimens of mollusks, eea urchins, starfish, hermitcrabs and other marine invertebrates. Lutraria lutraria, Spisula subtruncata, Macoma balthica en Abra alba washed ashore in very large numbers (ten- to hundreds of thousands) and Ensis directus in millions.
