As of September 2009 the amphibious sea slug Alderia modesta has been found through scuba-diving in the sublittoral zone of the Grevelingen (province of Zeeland). As of 2014 also Limapontia depressa was found in this habitat. Both slugs live on threads of the exotic alga Vaucheria longicaulis in a marine, non-brackish environment. Also new to the Grevelingen is Gibbula cineraria that was found there in June 2015.
