Again a few additional incidents were found in the literature, in which predators of molluscs were (almost) seriously injured or even killed by the mollusc. However, one of the reported incidents appeared to be an April Fools’ Day practical joke. As most of the described accidents concerned rats, a limited literature search for rats as predators of limpets and limpet-like molluscs, was performed. It was concluded that worldwide rats are preying on a variety of limpets.
