In the summer of 2016 the author went to Gran Canaria. After the discovery of some (sub)fossil shells of land snails at La Isleta the author found out through the paper of Serna & Gómez (2008) that there is also another site at Gran Canaria to find (sub) fossil shells. This place is Montaña de Arinaga. On the 13th of August Montaña de Arinaga was visited to explore its (sub)fossil malacofauna. The author discovered seven different species. With this exploration the author could not demonstrate a great diversity, but a systematic exploration of the whole area of Montaña de Arinaga could change that. The accessibility of the site, the intact shells that can be found and the ease of collecting make Montaña de Arinaga a great site to collect shells of (sub)fossil land snails.
