On 26 September 2017 a population of Cernuella neglecta (Drapanaud, 1805) was discovered in a recently rehabilitated part of the nature reserve Petit Gravier in Lanaye, Belgium. Most likely, this population derives from a nearby population in Petit-Lanaye known since 1987, some hundreds of meters away from the present one and situated on the other side of the Albert Canal. Most of the empty shells collected showed holes in the teleoconch probably gnawed by some rodent.
