In July 2017, in the French Alps in Parc national de la Vanoise, an aberrant empty shell of a Clausilia was found. After its shell had been damaged, this sinistral snail formed a second aperture and a new last whorl which rotates dextral, i.e. to the right. The find is described and compared with previous literature.
