De eerste vondst van de Gekielde loofslak Hygromia cinctella (Draparnaud, 1801) in Joure, Friesland

On 9 October 2017 I located a colony of the invasive Girdled snail Hygromia cinctella in Joure, province of Friesland. At a corner of a crossroad the snails were sitting on the leaves of a mixture of annual weeds and perennial shrubs, climbers and trees. This terrestrial snail of Mediterranean origin is here recorded for the first time from Joure and its surroundings.
