A strange freshwater mussel in 'de Zanderij' in Katwijk: Scabies crispata (Gould, 1843)

On 13 November 2016 one empty doublet of the freshwater mussel Scabies crispata (Gould, 1843) was found in De Zanderij in Katwijk, province of South Holland, the Netherlands. Most likely this specimen had been purchased by an aquarist who eventually dumped it in the ditch from which it was recovered.
