On a sunny day, October 14, 2017, 13 members of the Netherlands’ Malacological Society took part in an excursion in Southern Flevoland. Two nature conservation areas were visited: Lepelaarsplassen (‘Spoonbill pools’) and Wilgenbos (‘Willows woodland’). Observations were made in two biotopes in both areas: in Lepelaarsplassen, grassland with small ditches and woodland; in the Wilgenbos woodland and a shallow pond which was, however, nearly unattainable due to dense Reed vegetation on the bank. In total 24 and 16 species were observed, of land- and freshwater molluscs respectively.
