Ice-rafting of molluscs

After a short period of ice in the Wadden sea we found Wadden sea molluscs being transported by ice-floes on the North Sea beach of the Wadden island Texel. Geologists call stones dropped by ice on de sea bottom ‘dropstones’. We suggest to use ‘dropshells’ for ice-rafted shells dropped elsewhere.
