Micrasterias furcata found again in the Netherlands On June 26th, 2024, Micrasterias furcata, a very rare desmid for the Netherlands, was found in a shallow pool near Staphorst. In a separated small part of this pool Myriophyllum alterniflorum occurs abundantly. Exactly at this location, Micrasterias furcata has been found.
