Fossiele schelpen nu ook in Waarneming.nl

The website www.waarneming.nl is an important tool to record nature observations in the Netherlands, including molluscs. Data on this website are open data, and available for any scientific research. Until now, Waarneming.nl was mainly aimed at reporting recent species. Since March 2024, all species of marine fossil shells from the Dutch coast can also be reported via Waarneming.nl. We hope that many collectors and beachcombers will use this new possibility. Observations can easily be recorded via the website itself or via an app on your mobile phone: ObsMapp (Android) and iObs (Apple)
