Zoetwatermollusken in het natuurreservaat Easterskar bij Sintjohannesga, Friesland

A preliminary survey of the freshwater molluscs living in the nature reserve Easterskar southeast of Sintjohannesga in the Fryske Marren, province of Friesland, carried out on 9 October 2018 revealed the presence of only 18 species: 13 gastropods and 5 mussels. These low numbers were probably directly connected to the fact that part of the ditches had been recently cleaned of mud and a large part of their aquatic plants.
