Excursieverslag Klein Profijt: wederom een hoge biodiversiteit aan de Oude Maas

On 31 August, 2019 an excursion took place to Klein Profijt (Rhoon, province of Zuid-Holland). Klein Profijt is a small brackish intertidal area along the north bank of the river Oude Maas. This excursion was a follow up activity after the earlier investigations of Ruigeplaatbos and Visserijgriend (in Hoogvliet, Zuid-Holland). The diversity of species was higher than expected. In total 71 species were found, of which 31 alive. Also the recently discovered ‘Murchisonella spec.’ was found.
