An inventory of the freshwater bivalves on a car wreck from the river Scheldt near Oudenaarde, East Flanders, Belgium

On October10, 2019 a car wreck was lifted from the river Scheldt near the Lotharingenbrug bridge in Oudenaarde (province of East Flanders, Belgium). The wreck was inspected for the presence of molluscs. Four species of freshwater mussels were found: Dreissena polymorpha (Pallas, 1771), Corbicula fluminea (Müller,1774), Corbicula fluminalis (Müller,1774) and Sphaerium rivicola (Lamarck, 1818).
