The ‘Swiss glass snail’ Oxychilus navarricus helveticus (Blum, 1881) is a very rare species in the Netherlands. The only reliable record concerns a population discovered in 2004 in Schijndel, province of Noord-Brabant. This report documents another population encountered on the outside of the western dike lining the Julianakanaal in Illikhoven, municipality of Echt-Susteren (province of Limburg). There is no clue how the species arrived in Illikhoven.
