Two specimens of the Large amber snail Succinea putris, which were infected by Leucochloridum paradoxum, were seen in Wilhelmina- Oard, a nature reserve in Sint Nicolaasga, Friesland, the Netherlands. Interestingly, in one specimen only the right tentacle was infected with a pulsating club-shaped protuberance of the parasite.
