Rondom de Boorne. Verslag van de excursie naar Zuidoost-Friesland, 30 juni 2018

During a field trip in the valley of the Boorne, province of Friesland, molluscs were collected in three areas: the former peat mining area De Deelen, Van Oordt’s Mersken, a nature reserve between Beetsterzwaag and Gorredijk, and a grove in Olterterp, near Beetsterzwaag. Top finds of the day were Glutinous snail Myxas glutinosa in De Deelen and Hollowed glass snail Zonitoides excavatus in Olterterp. The article compares the results with those from a 1972 field trip to two of these sites and addresses some challenging identifications.
