Nieuw in Nederland: de Groene aardslak Limacus maculatus (Kaleniczenko, 1851)

In November 2020, slugs of the genus Limacus were found in a garden in Eindhoven (the Netherlands). Anatomical research revealed that this was the first confirmed discovery of the Green cellar slug Limacus maculatus (Kaleniczenko, 1851) in the Netherlands. This article explains the differences between Limacus maculatus and L. flavus and adds some remarks on its distribution in the Netherlands.
