A living specimen of Avenionia roberti Boetters, 1967 in the river Meuse at Grevenbicht

On April 30, 2021 a single living specimen of Avenionia roberti was collected with a pondnet between stones on the eastern shore of the river Meuse at Grevenbicht, province of Limburg. This is the first observation of this very rare species in the river Meuse, herewith possibly expanding its distribution area.
