A small population of the Milksnail or Spanish snail Otala lactea (O.F. Müller, 1774) was discovered in the tiny Vlakkerpark in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It is the first time a population of this species is found in the Netherlands in the wild. Earlier incidental observations in the Netherlands are reviewed.
