The publication of the second edition of the ‘Desmids of the lowlands’ flora (Coesel & Meesters, 2023) and the ‘European flora of Cosmarium’ (Kouwets, 2025), induced the Flemish desmid working group to publish a new determination guide containing all species found in Flanders with their new names.
