Polycera kernowensis Korshunova, Driessen, Picton en Martynov, 2021: a nudibranch new to the Netherlands

An extensive morphological and molecular study has examined over 200 specimens of European Polycera nudibranchs. Four species were distinguished, one of which proved to be new to science: Polycera kernowensis. Among other places – particularly in Cornwall (UK) – this new species was also discovered on the Dutch part of Dogger Bank.
