The auther discusses the find of an erratic block with glacial striae, discovered in a clayquarry of the 'Osse' brick factory in Losser. This piece, consisting of pyrite, is being compared with a sample of pyrite from a quarry in Limhamn (Sweden) where limestone of Upper Maestrichtian age is found. A comparison of the X-ray fluorescence of the two samples shows a strong affinity. Similarly, the affinity and composition of concretions of Tertiary age, found in the tillite of Losser were compared with those of Lower-Eocene pyrite from Oldenzaal.
