During the third excursion we visited an idle quarry near Boirs (Belgium). Here the complete profile of flintlayers in the Gulpen- chalk could be studied. In the afternoon we visited the NEKAMI quarry, between Bemelen and Margraten (Netherlands), being in full operation. Here Maastricht-chalk could be studied.
