Rhyncholites (cephalopod mandibles) from the Upper Maastrichtian deposits of the province of Limburg, the Netherlands, were already described by BINCKHORST in 1861. Recently discovered material makes a revision possible. A survey is given of the available material described as Rhyncolites donetzensis SHIMANSKIY from the Upper Cretaceous of different localities of the Maastrichtian type area.
