De visfauna's van vijf Boven-Silurische kalkstenen uit het Mirdumer Klif
Grondboor & Hamer , Volume 44 - Issue 4/5 p. 132- 136
The ichthyofaunal contents of five Silurian erratic limestone boulders from the Mirdumer klif in the province of Friesland was examined. The preliminary results indicate a mid Pridolian age. This age does not wholly agree with the late Pridolian age established for the conodont assemblages in three of the boulders. Some remarks are made on the remains of the acanthodian Nostolepis. It is suggested that N. gracilis may have been the fastest swimmer among the Upper Silurian acanthodians.
