The list of otoliths from the Anversien is extended with 2 species, Otolithus (Macruridarum) minusculus (Schub.) and Corvina speciosa Kok., while 6 species are new for the Sands of Antwerp which brings the total of known species of this formation upon 18. The fauna of bone-fishes from the Sands of Antwerp consists of a large amount of deepliving species. From the Sands of Edegem a few specimen are known which for the greater part belong to the very shallow living environment. The generic name Trisopterus is used for the species usually named Gadus friedbergi and Gadus luscus. The new species of the Sands of Antwerp support the chronostratigraphical age of the formation which is uppermost middle Miocene.
