At this moment there are two models to explain the origin of modern man (Homo sapiens), the ”Local Continuity Model” and ”Noah’s Ark Model”. The two fossil Wadjak skulls from Java have played an important role in the development of the ”Local Continuity Model”, but close examination of these human fossil skulls and the associated fauna at species level, gives more support for ”Noah’s Ark Model”. Although, if one looks at subspecies level it seems that there has been local continuity.
