A group of specialists met on a workshop on the Pleistocene vertebrate fauna of Crete. In this paper a short report is given of this meeting. The most important groups are discussed. It was decided at this meeting, that a monograph on Crete, dealing with paleontology, paleogeography and archeology will be prepared.
