This article discusses the find of a horncore of the Middle or Late Pleistocene Bubalus murrensis (BERCKHEMER, 1927). The horncore was recovered by dredging in a gravel pit at Netterden (Prov. of Gelderland). It is the first record of Bubalus in The Netherlands and the most western occurence of Bubalus in Europe. The authors suggest an Eemian (Last Interglacial) age for Bubalus in The Netherlands which is the same as for the Bubalus murrensis remains from the Upper Rhine Valley in Germany.
