A heavily mineralised right shed antler beam of a large Early to early Middle Pleistocene moose is discussed. The antler beam was trawled from the bottom of the North Sea between England and The Netherlands. Measurement indices taken from the antler fragment show that it falls within those of Alces gallicus (AZZAROLI, 1952) and Alces latifrons (JOHNSON, 1874), of respectively Early and Middle Pleistocene age. For the time being, the North Sea moose antler is identified as Alces spec.
