60 fossil remains of deer, horses and proboscideans dating from the Early Pleistocene (ca. 2 million years ago) have been trawled up from the Eastern Scheldt estuary during the 47th palaeontological expedition of the Kor en Bot Society on the 6th of September 1997. For the first time some molars of mice were fished up by Joop van Veen of Teylers Museum.
