Over hoorns gesproken. De veelhoornige Protoceratiden uit het Mioceen van Noord-Amerika
Cranium , Volume 15 - Issue 2 p. 111- 123
Millions of years ago, during the Miocene, ruminants roamed around in North America. Already at that time they were unlike all other ruminants of the world, as their noses were much bigger, and decorated with a horn that was also much bigger than that of all artiodactyls that have ever lived. This remarkable family, the Protoceratidae, is described in the present article.
