This year it is exactly fifty years ago that the in the field of palaeontology well-known Antje Schreuder exchanged her temporal life for an eternal life on the 2nd of February, 1952, at the age of 64. Antje was a remarkable woman and scientist, which can be concluded from the two In Memoriams that were published soon after her death (Van der Feen & Benthem Jutting, 1952; Hooijer, 1952), and from the list of publications that was added to the former In Memoriam.
