The authors discovered, while visiting the Natuurmuseum in Enschede, that some errors had occurred in the reconstruction of the front- and hind leg of ”the Monster of Dollengoor”, a woolly rhinoceros (Coelodonta antiquitatis). They found out that the first middle phalanx of both the front- and hind leg is identical with the two outer phalanges, but these should have been shaped differently. Also the second phalanges are identical and resemble those of a horse. This is also the case for the third phalange.
