For a coastal resident and motivated collector there is always something to see and to find along the beach. Once in a few years the beach along the southern Dutch island coast is raised, because sand is eroding constantly due to weather influences, currents and the tide. The last raising was in June 2005. Before that time interesting materials were collected such as pipes, Roman and neolithic artefacts and a lot of Early Holocene and Late Pleistocene bone material. In the meantime the sand is settled and nice things are found again. In this article I’ll describe the bone findings, artefacts made of bone, especially a serrated small point, and eventually I’ll give a short description of a perforated mounting in a deer antler.
