In connection with the finding of Crepis sancta (L.) Babc. in two localities in the southern part of the Netherlands province of Limburg, a survey is given of the extension of the area of this species through France and Belgium since 1763, when it was found for the first time in France near Nîmes, probably as an introduction from the eastern Mediterranean region.
