Melica nutans L. was found in June 1965 in Bloemendaal (prov. N. Holland) near the country-seat Lindenheuvel. Most earlier records of it are misidentifications of M. uniflora Retz. It has probably been introduced with grass-seed or with plants from Switzerland.
